MEET JASON PAULS
Jason Pauls founded TGL Adventures on the Flint River in 2021, and he still runs it himself today, about 15 minutes from downtown Huntsville. Nowhere near Huntsville let you paddle the Flint and spend the night on the same stretch of water, a kayak rental was one stop and a campground was another, so Jason built one property that does both, geodomes and riverside campsites a short walk from the put-in, so a day on the river does not have to end with a drive home. That same idea has been at the center of TGL since day one, paddle it by day, sleep on it by night.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
TGL is built for families and their dogs, not just serious paddlers. The Flint here is a calm, beginner-safe stretch, not whitewater, so first-timers and kids are the norm, not the exception. Dogs are welcome on the water and at every campsite and geodome. That is a deliberate choice, not an afterthought.
EVERYTHING ON ONE STRETCH OF RIVER
Everything TGL offers lives on one stretch of river. Rent a single or tandem Perception kayak and float the Flint with shuttle service included. Stay the night in one of two geodomes, Honey Bee Way or Toadstool, or pitch a tent at one of eight primitive riverside campsites behind them. Host a wedding, a retreat, or a private party on the same property, with guest lodging a short walk from the water. No other outfitter near Huntsville puts the float and the stay on the same land, most rent you a boat and send you somewhere else to sleep.
